Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools – OLD

Designed to support Catholic schools in addressing pandemic-related academic & behavioral challenges

On December 27, 2020, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, which included $2.75 billion in funding for the exclusive use of nonpublic schools.

This funding for nonpublic schools is contained within (and called) the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools (EANS) program. The EANS program’s purpose is to provide services and assistance to nonpublic schools to address educational disruptions caused by COVID-19. The full details of the EANS program are here.

The EANS program presents a quite significant opportunity for schools to invest in programs and services to strengthen their school communities for the long-term and recover from the impact of the pandemic.

A Firm Social-Emotional Foundation

With precision, we work with your school community to build for your school a social-emotional infrastructure that is highly customized to meet the particular needs of your students, teachers, and parents.

Direct counseling services for students. Support for parents. Triage and consultation for teachers and staff. Professional development, aimed at helping teachers to plan and execute – with social-emotional mindfulness – curricula.

These are the methods, the means, and the manners by which school communities can more actively partner with their students and families to supply, at critical life moments, social-emotional succor. Upon this hope and well-being for the entire school community find firm footing.

ADAC partners closely with schools to develop programs to support students’ emotional health and wellness. These programs are carefully tailored towards the needs of each school community and may include direct counseling services for students, support for parents, triage and consultation for teachers and staff,  professional development, and social and emotional curriculum development. Through these efforts, schools can more actively partner with students and their families to provide needed support at critical moments and work proactively to create a supportive school environment for all.
