Instructional Program Evaluations

ADAC’s Instructional Program Evaluations provide a structured, collaborative review of your school’s teaching and learning to surface what is working well and where targeted improvement will have the greatest impact. Guided by a clear evaluation framework and aligned with your mission and goals, this service provides leaders with actionable insights.

What This Service Includes:

Pre-visit planning and goal setting

  • Virtual meetings with school leadership to clarify the purpose of the evaluation(s), define key questions, and confirm focus areas (for example, core instruction, inclusion supports, or culturally responsive teaching)
  • Development of a logic model and problem statement that connect your current challenges, initiatives, and desired outcomes
  • Review of school documents and data, including improvement plans, curriculum materials, assessment results, and enrollment or program participation information

On-site classroom observations and stakeholder voice

  • Short, focused classroom visits using a shared set of quality classroom indicators to look at areas such as classroom culture, lesson design, and responsiveness to student learning
  • Interviews or focus groups with leaders, teachers, staff, and students to capture multiple perspectives and lived experience behind the data
  • Review of lesson plans, student work, and intervention resources to understand how plans, practice, and expectations align

Evidence-based findings and recommendations

  • Synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify clear strengths, patterns, and priority growth areas across classrooms and programs
  • Concrete, feasible recommendations that are tailored to your school’s context, aligned with your mission, and focused on improving student outcomes
  • A written report that organizes findings and ratings in accessible language for leaders and stakeholders

Collaborative debrief and next steps

  • A follow-up debrief session to walk through the report, answer questions, and co-clarify next steps
  • Opportunities to connect the evaluation findings to ongoing professional learning, coaching, and strategic planning, so the report serves as a roadmap for sustainable improvement rather than a collection of unrealized goals and unpursued strategies
